Natalie Bennett

Operations Director

How did you get into the industry?

The surname may give you a clue! As Bespoke was just starting, I had completed my BA Hons Degree and Marvin’s time was spent juggling several different roles, so there became a need for someone to be ‘hands on’ in the office. We’re a close family, so it was an exciting opportunity for me to be part of Marvin’s drive and passion for construction and property. I accepted the job with both hands, but it was a huge learning curve for me at the time, and even now 20 years later, I still think we continue to learn and develop.

What is the best thing about working for Bespoke?

The people. We have a great team at Bespoke with such a wealth of knowledge and experience, who always work together to ensure the best outcome for our clients. As company, we have grown over the years but we still retain our core values; enjoy what you do, work hard and always strive to be the best you can be. All our team shares these core values, which creates a great environment to be in.

What advice would you give to someone looking to get into construction?

The construction industry is a diverse industry with a huge range of opportunities. My advice would be aim to get experience in all areas of the industry, which will give you a better understanding of what interests you and the career path you would like to pursue. It’s a great sense of achievement to walk around a project your company has completed it.

What might someone be surprised to know about you?

My passion for travelling led me to completing the Padi Open Water Diver course. I’ve never been a fan of the idea of scuba diving and my main enjoyment of the sea was paddling around the shorelines! In 2010, I overcame my nerves and completed my scuba diving training in Grand Cayman. It was such an amazing experience to share the ocean with turtles and stingrays! Also, I came first place in a talent contest for my Tommy Cooper impression (aged 3)!!!
